![]() In the new model, a new player has all cards available right off the bat and while many think its a good thing, the player himself will feel overwhelmed and confused as he does not know what most of the units do and will probably never care to find out. In this regard, I feel the open beta model did a much better job though even that needed a few tweaks. Giving them a sense of achievement or accomplishment in game is what drives them to play for hours. Unless they have a corrot-on-a-stick dangling in front of them they will never return to a game after playing it a few times no matter how polished or fun to play it is. As I had stated my thoughts earlier on this sub-reddit, I feel like the free-for-all no-progression game model killed it. Hi I have been a long time player in the game before it got released. Would that be enough to make a game like this survive? Did they really kill it with lack of progression or is the demand actually dwindling? I agree with many of the points people made about them making all of the content too easily available, that’s why my project focuses on aspects of crafting your own customized cards by combining the theories behind rpg/survival crafting with card crafting and making cards that fee unique like you made them yourself. However I am obviously disheartened as far as my own project goes to see this game went poof about a year ago. I know there are a few very popular “moba style” mobile games, and I’ve extensively researched gaming but I’m still a novice. I was even more sad about the fact that I have been building a strategy game in Unity for a year that has uses about the same genre of game for the combat - and seeing that this game and its community are dead is obviously upsetting. Note that this doesn’t unlock Crossovers.I just stumbled upon this game on steam and was a little sad at not being able to play it.
